You'll find far more than just people in suits here. Although Canary Wharf is well known as a major business district (it's one of London's two main financial centres), it's also a bustling shopping and entertainment area.
This 16 million square feet of office, retail and leisure space used to be nothing but derelict docklands. Three shopping malls now sit side by side with some of the world’s biggest companies and over 100,000 people work there in a diverse range of industries.
The area holds many music, film, arts, dance and fashion events and also contains over 300 shops, bars and restaurants. It also remains a great area for skyscraper spotting, as many of the UK's tallest buildings, including One Canada Square, can be found here.
